The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested several notorious robbery suspects who have been terrorising the Barnawa, Sabon Tasha, and Karji areas of the Kaduna metropolis.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, disclosed this in a statement yesterday.
ASP Hassan said the arrests were made on May 9, 2024, around 3:00 am.
He said a surveillance patrol team from the Unguwan Rimi division intercepted three suspects-Khalid Lawal, Abdulhamid Zubairu, and Musa Yusuf-along the Yakowa Expressway.

He said the suspects, who were returning from a robbery operation, confessed to their crimes upon being apprehended.
He said subsequent investigations revealed that the suspects, armed with guns, knives, and machetes, conspired with other criminals, who were later traced and arrested.
Similarly, the Anambra State Police Command has arrested a notorious suspected cultist and armed robber in Uruagu village, Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area.
A statement by SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the command’s spokesman, said the suspect, Anichede Akachukwu, 18, also known as Star B, confessed to being the leader of the Vikings Secret Cult Confraternity and an armed gang that has been terrorising Ogbaru LGA and Asaba in Delta State.
He said Akachukwu was apprehended following intelligence gathered while he was receiving treatment for a bullet wound sustained during an encounter with police operatives in Asaba.
