Kwara State Police command has arrested 11 suspects over alleged kidnapping, armed robbery and cultism.
Parading the suspects at the Police Headquarters in Ilorin, the state Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya, said the suspects were arrested in different parts of the state.
According to him, the successes recorded were as a result of diligence and hard work of the officers and men of the command.
Mr. Olaiya said during interrogation, all the suspects admitted committing the crimes.
He explained that the suspects have led investigators to their hideout where incriminating exhibits including firearms and criminal charms were recovered.
The CP noted that all the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded for prosecution and warned criminal elements to turn a new leaf or stay away from the state.
While noting that the command would continue to collaborate with sister security agencies to ensure criminal activities are reduced to the barest minimum, Olaiya appealed to the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies for prompt action.
