The Gombe State Police Command says it has arrested the leader of a robbery gang and his three members terrorising people of Dukku, Funakaye, Kwami and Nafada local government areas of the state.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Obed Mary Malum, said the gang leader, Musa Usman alias Sarki of Kurbagel village of Nafada LGA alongside Gidado Adamu and Bappah Mohammed all of Gwangiro village and Bello Buba of Zadawa village of Funakaye LGA were arrested through information from members of the public.

Malum said the suspects who specialized in terrorising people of Bojude, Ashaka, Nafada and Dukku were arrested with dangerous weapons that included locally made pistol, iron rod, axe and sticks.

Similarly, DSP Malum said the command has arrested a notorious kidnapper, one Umaru Mohammed alias Juma Bala’i of Gona village in Akko LGA.

She said Bala’i has been on the police wanted list in Adamawa, Kaduna, Taraba, Yobe and Zamfara states.
