The police in Bauchi State have arrested suspected Sara Suka thugs alleged to be terrorising the metropolis.

The state police command’s spokesman, DSP Kamal Datti, in a statement said the arrest was part of an ongoing operation to checkmate the activities of Sara-Suka and political thugs in the state.

He said the suspects were arrested in connection with cases of criminal conspiracy, thuggery and mischief.

The suspects arrested include; Hamza Abdullahi aka Mando, the gang leader, Tijjani Dahiru, Abba Abdullahi aka Dogon Yaro and Muslim Idris.

Others are Ibrahim Musa, Bashir Abubakar, Abdulrahman Mohammed, Munkaila Mohammed,  Ahmed Adam, and Umar Hassan aka Silli  all of Bauchi metropolis. 

Datti said various exhibits were recovered from the suspects during the operation which include five cutlasses, one knife, seven packets of Tramadol capsules and assorted charms.

He said the case is under investigation after which the suspects would be charged to court.
