Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested two leaders of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity allegedly linked to a cult-related murder in Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The suspects—Joshua Okpogona, 30, and Raphael Omokerhe, 37—are the current and immediate past leaders of the confraternity, respectively.
They were linked to a murder that occurred on January 15, 2026, in the Iwhrekpokpo area of Ughelli.
The command’s spokesperson, Bright Edafe, said the arrests followed ongoing investigations into a case of conspiracy, cultism, and murder.
Edafe noted that, acting on credible intelligence, operatives stormed a hotel in the Ekuigbo area of Ughelli where the suspects were reportedly hiding.
Joshua Okpogona has been identified as the current Ughelli leader of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity and the alleged mastermind behind the January 15 killings. Raphael Omokerhe was identified as the group’s immediate past leader.
According to the spokesperson, the investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being intensified to apprehend other fleeing suspects connected to the crime.
