Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a suspected cultist identified as Ovie Ejeh (18) for alleged cultism.
The suspect, who resides at No. 12 Agbasa community, Warri, was apprehended by operatives from the Ekpan Police Station.
The command’s spokesperson, Bright Edafe, said the police received intelligence regarding a suspected cultist acting suspiciously along Wangwe College,Warri, Delta State.
He said that upon receipt of the information, police stormed the vicinity of Wangwe college, where the suspect was taken into custody.
Edafe further disclosed that during a search of the suspect, one locally fabricated cut-to-size single-barrelled gun and two live cartridges were recovered. (NAN)
Upon interrogation, Ejeh reportedly confessed to being a member of a cult group.
The spokesperson confirmed that both the suspect and the recovered exhibits are currently in police custody.
