There are strong indications that the Managing Director (MD) of Water View Guest House, Adeniyi Ọjọ, who was found dead inside one of the hotel rooms, might have been murdered.

 Recall that the incident reverberated across the state at the weekend and went viral on social media platforms.

 City & Crime reports that Water View Guest House, located on the banks of the Asa River is the go-to place for many top socialites and personalities in the state.

Sources on Monday told our reporter that Ojo was sighted with two persons on the night of his passing.

A source, who craved anonymity, said, “Apart from his unidentified guests, his phone was also missing when he was discovered dead on Friday morning. Attempts were also made to withdraw money from his account through his phone.”

Speaking on the issue, the police spokesman in the state, Ajayi Okasanmi, told our correspondent on Monday that the family of the victim had directed that an autopsy be carried out.

He further said, “Investigation is ongoing, but no suspect has been arrested so far. However, the outcome of the autopsy will help our investigation and lead to the arrest of the unknown suspects.”
