Police ban vigilante groups in Adamawa from elections duties

The Adamawa State Police Command, in conjunction with sister security agencies, has banned hunters, vigilantes and Civilian JTF amongst other local security groups from elections.

It has also restricted the movement of vehicles from 7am to 5pm on February 25 except those on special duties and essential services.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Suleiman Nguroje, who announced these in a statement on Tuesday, said the Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, had ordered that a stop and search exercise be intensified at border areas.
