The police in Badagry, Lagos State, on Monday, advised commercial motorcyclists against involvement in night driving and criminality in the ancient town.
The Divisional Police Officer, Badagry Police Station, CSP Folajimi Akosile, gave the advice during a stakeholder meeting with the motorcycle riders and their union executives in Badagry.
Akosile described the plying of the roads between 1am and 4am by the commercial motorcyclists as a dangerous trend.
“I was going to the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) around 1am, and I saw two motorcyclists inside the bush along Idale-Topo Road.
“Immediately, I stopped my vehicle to check on them, but they started their motorcycles and left.
“Another one was sleeping inside the bush where he parked his bike, this is dangerous,” he said.
