The Commissioner of Police (CP) in Kwara State, Paul Odama, has led his men to comb forests in the Northern part of the state in search of gunmen following incessant robberies and killings in Boriya and Gure communities in Baruten LGA.
City & Crime learnt that one person was allegedly killed last week by the robbers and several others, mostly traders, robbed of huge sums of money.

Some of the criminal hotspots combed are in Ilesha-Baruba, Gwanara, Okuta, Kosubosu and Yashikira communities.
The spokesman of the police command, Okasanmi Ajayi, said the decision of the CP to lead the police team following alarms raised by the Chairman of Baruten LGA, AbdulRasheed Lafia; and the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Yakubu Danladi-Salihu – who hails from the LGA.
