The Police Command in Ondo State has confirmed the death of CSP Nimrod Anaka, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the Kajola Police Station in Odigbo Local Government Area.
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Ayanlade Olushola, confirmed the news to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday.
Olushola did not provide details on the officer’s death, stating, “I can confirm that the DPO, Anaka, has died, but it’s only a medical expert that can confirm what caused his death.”
He added that Anaka’s age and state of origin would be made public at a later time. NAN

The DPO reportedly developed a sudden illness and died on his way to the hospital on Tuesday.
NAN reports that the news of his death left the officers attached to the station in mourning.
A source disclosed that the DPO’s body has been deposited in a mortuary. (NAN)
