The Ekiti State police command has debunked the rumour that residents abandon their farms as gunmen unleased terror in Ise-Ekiti community and are continuously being attacked.
The command spokesman, SP Sunday Abutu, condemned the story as untrue and should be disregarded, as the residents of Ise-Ekiti and other parts of the state are going about their lawful businesses including farming activities without tension or any form of apprehension.
Abutu further stated there had been no attacks of recent or kidnapping in Ise-Ekiti.
The command noted that the state government and the state police command were in synergy with other security agencies, including the non-state actors, to address security challenges in the state.
