The police in Enugu State have detained three suspected criminals and recovered firearms, a motorcycle, and other incriminating items in separate operations within the state.

The spokesman of the command, SP Daniel Ndukwe, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday in Enugu.

Ndukwe said that the feat was part of the command’s sustained, vigorous clampdown on armed robbery and other violent crimes in the state.He said that on Aug. 20, police operatives attached to the Agbani Area Command apprehended a suspect and recovered a locally made gun from him.

“Preliminary investigations link the suspect to an armed robbery incident that occurred recently at Nara Unataeze, Nkanu East,” he said.

The police spokesman further said that on Aug. 18, operatives attached to the Udenu Police Division apprehended two suspects at Obollo-Afor, Udenu Local Government Area. (NAN)
