Police authorities in Kano State have dismissed from service one Ado Abba, a special constabulary, for extorting money from motorists and other road users.

Police spokesman in the state, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, a superintendent, said Abba had been probed and strictly warned not to be involved in any police work.

Kiyawa said the special constabulary had been doing a good job in the state but bad eggs like Abba are spoiling the good reputation of the force.

The police spokesman warned that if he was found extorting money from motorists again, he would be arrested and arraigned.
