The police in Sokoto have arrested three persons over attempt to rustle cattle in Tangaza Local Government Area of the state.

The spokesperson of the command, DSP Cordelia Nwawe, who disclosed this yesterday, said the police prevented the rustlers from stealing the cattle.

“They came to steal some cattle but that motive was foiled,” she stated.

She also confirmed that a joint operation with the military and other security operatives was still ongoing in Raba Local Government Area of Sokoto where bandits recently attacked Tabanni village killing 40 residents.

“We are on ground, 100 mobile police men from two units were deployed, every other person is assisting the police to get the job done,” she said.
