Police officers at the Gwarinpa division have foiled a robbery attempt at Road 11, First Avenue, Gwarinpa. 

A police source within the division said they received a distress call from the control room about the robbery last Thursday. 

The source said some hoodlums were trying to gain access to a building in the area by breaking a fence before a resident who pleaded for anonymity called the police control room numbers. 

The control room in turn informed the Gwarinpa division about the incidence. 

The source said the suspects took to their heels when they saw police officers. 

The Gwarinpa Divisional Police Officer, CSP Nuruddeen Sabo, said though the area was combed for possible arrest, no one was arrested. 

He said investigation was ongoing.
