Police in Gwarinpa have recovered a vehicle after some armed robbers snatched it from its owner at gun point. 

A source at the division said a resident called the station saying that three armed robbers attacked a house at 12 Crescent and stole a Honda SUV.  The incident happened at about 8:00pm on Wednesday.  

The Gwarinpa Divisional Police Officer, CSP Nuruddeen Sabo, said officers were deployed and when the armed robbers saw them, they abandoned the vehicle and escaped in a black Toyota Camry car.  

“The area was condoned off for possible arrest,” he said, adding that the police are still after the fleeing suspects.  

In another incident, he said a woman died while her church member was trying to take her to hospital. 

He said the deceased, Marble Gloria, 49, was ill before she collapsed and was taken to the hospital. 

“But on arrival the doctor confirmed her dead,” he said

Sabo said the case was reported by one Charles on Thursday and investigation was ongoing.
