The police in Anambra State said operatives of the command have embarked on a man-hunt for those behind the kidnap of two catholic priests in the state.

The two clerics, Parish priest of St Theresa’s Parish, Umueze-Anam, Rev Fr Peter Nwachukwu and his assistant, Rev Fr Cajetan Apeh, were abducted on December 24, 2018 but were rescued on December 27.

The command’s spokesman, SP Haruna Mohammed, said the kidnapped priests were freed by the police in a combined raid with sister agencies in the state, stressing that the victims were in stable condition and had been reunited with their families and congregation.
