The Police Command in Osun on Wednesday confirmed the release of the two Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) officers, kidnapped in the state on Sunday by gunmen.
The Command’s Spokesperson, DSP. Folashade Odoro who confirmed the release of the officers to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Osogbo, however, did not give details on how they were released.
“I can confirm to you that the two abducted persons have been release by their abductors.” she said.
Adoro had on Tuesday told NAN that since the incident was reported, the police had intensified efforts to secure the release of the FRSC officials and arrest the perpetrators of the crime.
NAN however gathered that the FRSC officers who were released last night had since reunited with their families. (NAN)
