Police intercept 303 cartons of Tramadol

No fewer than 303 cartons of drugs suspected to be tramadol have been intercepted by the police in Kano.

The Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Wakili, who confirmed this in Kano yesterday at a press briefing, also revealed that one suspect, Chris Metuh, was arrested in connection to the illicit substances.

Daily Trust learnt that the said cartons of drugs were intercepted at a manufacturing company located on Miller Road in Bompai area of Nassarawa LGA.

CP Wakili described the development as part of the success story of the command’s efforts to rid the state of hard drugs and other intoxicating substances, thereby urging the public to always cooperate with the police in their effort to make the society habitable for all.

He also confirmed the arrest of four others over alleged illegal possession of large quantities of hard drugs and weapons.

They include Aliyu Khalid of Sheka Qtrs, Ibrahim Alasan and Mohammad Ahmad both of Gwammaja Qtrs as well as Chukwu Jeku Felix, a resident of Sabon Gari Qtrs.
