The police in Lagos State have begun investigation into the death of Mr Abdulrahaman Musa, an Assistant General Manager (AGM) with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) in Lagos.

The police spokesman in Lagos, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, confirmed the investigation to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday but did not give details of how far the investigation has gone.

Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, General Manager (GM), Public Affairs at FAAN, who confirmed the police investigation to NAN, said the FAAN management had also set up an investigation committee of enquiry on the death.

A younger brother of the deceased, Mr Nuhu Momoh, told NAN that his brother left home on Sunday Oct 31, 2021, and did not return and that his phones were switched off.

He said they made effort to trace him and called some of his friends before they found his car on old Abeokuta Road beside Bola Events Centre involved in a mild accident, and that witnesses confirmed that his brother was very okay after the accident and came down by himself and made effort to get a towing van, but could not get any.

He further said, “A security man at an Oando Filling Station in the area confirmed that the car was dropped with him before my brother left. The security man said that while my brother was leaving some hoodlums followed him.

“We reported the case at the Abattoir police station and the state command, Ikeja, and continued our search till we received a call on Thursday, November 4, 2021.

“The call came from the Abattoir police station that they got a report of a body at Alaramimo Canal and that we should go and check. On getting there, I confirmed it was my brother’s body.”
