FCT Police Commissioner Bala Ciroma has condemned the killing of three suspected one-chance robbers by a mob at Dutsen Alhaji on Monday.

A statement by the command spokesman, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, said the commissioner has ordered investigation into the incident.

He said the suspected one chance robbers were burnt to death by the mob following an alarm raised by their yet to be identified victim.

He said the command condemns the action of the mob who resorted to meting out jungle justice on the suspects, instead of handing them over to the police for investigation and prosecution.

“It is on this premise that the commissioner of police for FCT, CP Bala Ciroma, has ordered a discreet investigation into the unfortunate incident, ” he said.

Manzah assured the public of the police unwavering commitment to fighting ‘one chance’ robbery and reducing crime to its barest minimum, while the command enjoined the public to be security conscious and report all suspicious persons or activities to the nearest police formation.
