Operatives of Delta State Police Command have reportedly killed one suspected armed robber and arrested two others.

The Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Edafe Bright disclosed this to newsmen on Monday in Asaba.

Edafe said the suspect died in a hospital while receiving treatment for an injury sustained during a gun duel with the operatives of the Delta Hawk team in collaboration with the operatives of the Okpanam Police Division.

He also added that two other robbery suspects were arrested by operatives of the Orerokpe Police Division in Okpe LGA of the state.

He said the suspects attacked and robbed a female passenger who boarded their tricycle at the Okudiete community in the locality.

Edafe added that preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects are notorious robbers who specialised in robbing unsuspecting passengers of their personal belongings while in transit on a tricycle.

He said efforts are ongoing to arrest other fleeing suspects while items recovered from them are one English pump action gun and one cut-to-size single barrel gun with three cartridges.

Other items recovered are a tricycle with REG NO: ASB56QD, the female’s victim phone, a handbag containing money and other valuables.
