The police command in Imo State has said that it has launched an investigation into the murder of a lawyer, Mr Garricks Anyanwu, who was killed a week ago.
The spokesman of the command, ASP Henry Okoye, who disclosed this in a telephone interview on Tuesday, promised to make an official statement on completion of investigation.
Meanwhile, it was gathered that Anyawu was killed in his home town of Orodo in Mbaitoli LGA and his decomposing corpse discovered on April 5, in a bush.
A family source, who pleaded anonymity, said the victim would be buried on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.”
Recall that a Magistrate, Nnaemeka Ugboma, a former Chairman of the Obudiagwa Customary Court in Oguta LGA, was shot dead on February 2, 2023, while he was presiding over a court session. (NAN)
