Four suspected armed robbers have been arrested by the police in Katsina. Four suspected armed robbers have been arrested by the police in Katsina.

The suspects were reportedly arrested when they invaded the house of one Haruna Idris of Dan-Dutse Quarters, Funtua, in the state.

They are, Umar Yahaya, 24,  Abdulmalik Yahaya, 20,  Abdulrashid Musa, 20 and  Abdulrahaman Suleman, 21, all of Maigamji village, Funtua LGA of Katsina State.

The spokesman of the state police command, SP Gambo Isah, said the Command succeeded in arresting them on December 10, adding that they belonged to a notorious syndicate of armed robbers terrorising Funtua and its environs.

Items reportedly recovered from them include, one fabricated locally made rifle, one toy gun, two knives, one cutlass, torchlight and a military cap.

He said they would soon be charged to court.
