Police operatives in Adamawa State have apprehended a 32- year-old suspected internet fraudster with the sum of N2, 426,000 in his possession.
The police spokesman in the state, Sulaiman Nguroje, said the suspect, Kelvin Madu, posed as a representative of a business, deceiving several people to invest their money after a promise of higher return.

He noted that the suspect was arrested following complaints by victims to the commissioner of police in the state, Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, who then ordered for investigation.
Nguroje said the suspect would be arraigned in court as soon as investigations were completed. He called on the people to be wary of strangers and report suspicious persons to the police.
