The police in Gwarinpa have arrested a man for allegedly stealing three sets of 10 yards clothing materials valued at N280,000 from a shop.
A police source said the suspect disguised as a customer and entered a shop on Third Avenue where he picked the materials and hid them under his gown.
City News learnt that the incident happened on Tuesday at about 12 noon.
The source said the shop owner, whom he identified as Paul, reported at the police station.
The Gwarinpa Divisional Police Officer, CSP Nuruddeen Sabo, confirmed the incident.
He identified the suspect as Jibrin Isah, a resident of Suleja.
“The suspect hid the items under his big gown. He was arrested and three sets of 10 yards material valued N280, 000 were recovered from him,” he said.
He said he would be prosecuted.
