The Delta State Police Command said it has arrested the officer who allegedly assaulted an NYSC female medical doctor serving with the Ogwashi-Uku General Hospital.

DSP Bright Edafe, the command’s spokesman, who disclosed this to City & Crime on Monday, said the officer would be made to go through internal disciplinary measures.

Recall that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Wale Abass, had directed the Divisional Police Officer of Ogwashi-Uku to investigate and ensure that the erring officer was identified and brought to book.
