The Edo State police command has arrested some of its officers caught in a viral video smashing a parked vehicle after a violent protest by youths in the state.
It would be recalled that on May 20, 2025, two IRT police officers were attacked by protesting youths at Okhuimwun community, Benin City, while on transit from Lagos through Edo State, leaving them with various degrees of injuries and their vehicle vandalised.
The command’s spokesman, CSP Moses Yamu, said the arrested officers were drafted to the area to rescue the officers and effect the arrest of the hoodlums but instead, engaged in unprofessional conduct.
