The FCT Police Command has paraded 14 suspects over alleged vehicle theft and announced the recovery of 17 stolen exotic vehicles across Abuja.

Addressing newsmen at the command headquarters on Saturday, CP Mohammed Ahmed Sanusi, said the 14 suspects were arrested between March and April 2026 for their involvement in car theft at various locations within the FCT.

The CP identified the suspects as Mustapha Difcha, Ahmed Difcha, Sanusi Isa, John Emmanuel, Blessed Yusuf, Chinaza Ijere, Joshua Luka Dagana, Mohammed Sabiu, Zakariya Liman, Babajo Ishaya, Cornellius Abang, Sani Kabiru, Gambo Ibrahim, and Jakuta Kandoki Ibrahim.

He provided a detailed list of the recovered exotic vehicles, which include Toyota Avalon XLE (Black, Reg. No. LKJ 232 CV), Toyota Camry (Reg. No. DKA 988 MT) – Stolen from Kaduna State and recovered in the FCT.

Others are Ford Jeep (Black, Reg. No. KWL 978 PP), Toyota Corolla 2003 Model (Reg. No. DBT 467 BZ), Toyota Corolla (Reg. No. KWK 221 AE), Toyota Corolla S (Dark Grey, No Reg. Number), Nissan Vehicle (Green, Reg. No. RBC 99 XP), Hyundai Elantra 2013 Model (Reg. No. ABJ 904 HL) and Nissan SUV (No Reg. Number)

Also recovered according to the command are Toyota Hilux 2021 Model (No Reg. Number), Toyota Corolla (Reg. No. NSR 57 AT), Volkswagen Golf 2 (Black, Reg. No. JJJ 112 DW), Toyota Camry (Gold, Reg. No. ABJ 513 CN), Volkswagen Golf 3 (Black, No Reg. Number) and Toyota Carina (Reg. No. CQ 302 GGE) – Stolen from Durumi, FCT, and recovered in Kaduna State.

Additionally, CP Sanusi noted that a black Hyundai vehicle (Reg. No. ABJ 371 DZ) was recovered after it was abandoned by “one-chance” suspects upon sighting a police patrol team from the Central Police Station.

He said operatives also foiled the theft of a white Range Rover (Reg. No. ABJ 36 AS).

The CP confirmed that several of the recovered vehicles have already been returned to their genuine owners after thorough verification, while others remain with the command pending identification by their rightful owners.
