Police parade boy killers, other suspects in Bauchi

Three teenagers suspected of killing another teenager, Abdussalam Danlami, were yesterday paraded by the police alongside other suspects in Bauchi.

Abubakar Yakubu, the principal suspect was paraded alongside Suleiman Mohammed and Kamalu Kabiru for allegedly killing 18-year-old Abdussalam ‎over a dispute on December 16, 2017 at Doya quarters in Bauchi metropolis. 

According to the police, Yakubu confessed that he stabbed the deceased on the neck with a knife.

The police also paraded one Ashiru Adamu who was alleged to have abducted and repeatedly raped 18-year-old Sadiya Adamu‎.

Another suspect, Yakubu Mamman, was also paraded alongside his accomplice, Muhammadu Bello, for allegedly robbing one Hassan Adamu of his Bajaj motorcycle and three GSM handsets in his house at Dungulbi village and demanding N1 million or his family will be kidnapped.

Three other suspects, Abbas Usman, Shamsudden Adamu and Gidado Mohammed Yayayi, were also paraded for allegedly‎ engaging in robbery, abduction and rape of one Hauwa Suleiman.

Another suspect, Al’amin Usman, was later arrested in connection with the case according to the police.

Members of the notorious ‘Babeli’ group which allegedly engage in extrajudicial killings of suspects‎ were also arrested and paraded by the police.

Ado Hamza, Idris Alhaji Hamza, Bala S. Aska and Ardo Abdu were arrested over an alleged plan to attack and kill some people at Warji market.
