The Plateau State Police Command has paraded a suspected car thief in Jos North LGA.

The spokesman of the command, DSP Alabo Alfred, said, “On September 18, the Plateau State Police Command made another giant stride by arresting a suspect who stole a bus. The suspect claimed to have bought the bus for the sum of N2m. The vehicle was stolen on September 15, and after serious work by officers of the command, the vehicle was recovered.

“The name of the suspect is Kabiru Muhammad. More suspects remain at large. I assure that more suspects will be arrested. Serious work is on ground.

“We are using this opportunity to send a very strong warning to car thieves to desist from stealing people’s vehicles or we get them arrested.”

Speaking to journalists, the 34-year-old suspect said, “I bought the vehicle from one Abubakar at the sum of N2m. He promised to give me the papers this morning after completing N110.000.”
