The Lagos State Police Command says it has commenced a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Dapo Ojora, a socialite and Polo Buff, on Friday.
The deceased was alleged to have shot himself in the head on Friday, December 11, 2020, in his Lagos residence.
Dapo is the second of Ojora’s three sons. His elder brother, Adegboyega died in 2011.
The deceased was last seen at the funeral of the eldest daughter of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Mrs. Omotola Oyediran.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, in a statement said the command has commenced investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of Ojora.
Adejobi however urged the general public to disregard media speculations making waves on the cause of his death until the investigation instituted by the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, to unravel the cause of his death is concluded and the findings made public.
He said the police command condemns all sorts of speculations making round in the media. These are not only unfounded and baseless but could jeopardise police investigation on Dapo’s death.
