Police sources have confirmed to Daily Trust that two officers survived the shooting. Though details are sketchy as to how they survived while seven others were killed, sources said they are being interrogated at the Force Headquarters. 

Sources said one of the officers escaped due to the metaphysical powers as he was shot several times but the bullets did not penetrate his body.

The other officer, according to a police source, was in the mosque when the incident occurred. 

“The gunmen drove to where they were seated, flashing the vehicle’s headlamp directly at them before they opened fire,” a police source said. 

The source said an officer who was eating at the back of the portal cabin was also shot. On how the gunmen could kill the officers, he said they were ambushed.

“You see those grasses around the container is not good. They can hardly see what was coming to them unless they stepped out as they were sitting down when they were ambushed,” the source said. 

Daily Trust observed that there are patches of the officers’ blood around the portal cabin in about six places though sand has been poured on the spots.
