Detectives from the Lagos State Police Command have recovered an abandoned three-month-old baby in the Iponri area of the state.
This is coming barely 48 hours after a day-old baby was found by a social worker along Alhaji Nasha Road in Surulere.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said on Thursday at about 11.40pm, a baby of about three months old was found abandoned in a compound at Ebute-Metta West by the owner of the house.
He said it was the owner of the house who lodged the complaint on Friday at Iponri Police station.
“Upon receipt of the complaint, detectives visited the scene and the baby was recovered and taken to the State Children Hospital located on Lagos Island, for proper care and custody,” he said.
