Police recover 5 stolen cars from dealer

Police in Gombe State yesterday said it had recovered five stolen vehicles from a dealer who was alleged to specialize in receiving and selling stolen vehicles.
The Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Garba Mukaddas, said Sani Adamu, alias Dankade of Byepass, Abacha Quarters, Gombe, was arrested through a synergy with other security agencies in the state. He said a Toyota Matrix stolen in Abuja in August 2018 was traced to Dankade, which led to his arrest.
According to the police, the stolen car was found in possession of one Murtala Adamu of Hammadu Kafi Quarters, who informed the police that he purchased the car from the said Dankade.
The police added that in the past two months, over four cars stolen from different parts of the country were recovered from the same Dankade.
