The Kano State Police Command has arrested one Hassan Adamu, 30, of Kanka village, Gezawa local Government Area of the state over armed robbery and allegedly terrorizing people of the state for many years.
The command, through its public relations officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said it also recovered two pistols and four rounds of ammunition from the suspect.
“On February 23, 2022, in a follow-up and mop up of suspects terrorizing Kano State, one Hassan Adamu was arrested by a team of Operation Puff Adder.
“On investigation, suspect confessed to series of atrocities and also led detectives to recovery of two locally made pistols and four rounds of live ammunition sealed inside a Bajaj motorcycle seat.”
He said the command had also arrested a syndicate of three arm robbers who specialized in robbing people of their properties using tricycles and knives.
The PPRO said the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, had ordered for investigation and that all the suspects be charged to court after investigation.
