Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have rescued seven kidnapped victims in Edo State.
The victims were reportedly rescued in Ewohimi, Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo State.
The command’s spokesperson, ASP Eno Ikoedem, said the police received a report that seven persons were kidnapped on November 1, 2025, when they went to their farm in the Ewohimi community.
She said the police, in collaboration with the Nigerian Army, local vigilantes, and hunters, stormed the forest for a bush-combing operation to rescue the victims unhurt and arrest the perpetrators.
She clarified that sustained pressure from the security team forced the abductors to abandon their captives and flee.
All seven victims were rescued unhurt and have since been reunited with their families.
