Police road blocks in Kano

I wish to call on the security operatives in Kano to open the roads they closed in Kano following the Boko Haram insurgency. Thousands of people living close to the mobile police barracks in Hotoro are now left without an access road. About eighty shops attached on the road have been forced to close down without any other means of earning a living. This has been going on for almost six months now and there seems to be no end in sight. As if that is not enough, people in the area cannot even hang around their houses because a stern-looking mobile police man may come and intimidate you. Insecurity cannot be addressed by simply blocking roads.
