The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced manhunt for a police sergeant, Eze Aiwansoba, who is on the run after allegedly shooting his lover identified as Joy Eze.
Daily Trust learnt that the said policeman earlier had a misunderstanding with his lover which subsequently led to the shooting incident on Thursday night at Salvation Bus Stop, Opebi, Ikeja.

The victim who was shot in the mouth is said to have been admitted at the intensive care unit of one of the hospitals at Opebi.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the incident, however said it had nothing to do with the #endSARS# protest in the state.
That at the time of the incident, the identity of the policeman was unknown, until the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, ordered the Divisional Police Officer, Ikeja, to trace the whereabouts of the victim to ascertain her health condition and trace the fleeing policeman.
