Police smash crime syndicate, recover stolen livestock in Jigawa

The Jigawa State Police Command has revealed that it has arrested several suspects involved in cattle rustling, theft, and drug trafficking across different parts of the state.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, disclosed that the arrests were made during coordinated operations that led to police operatives recovering three stolen cows, three rams, several motorcycles, and over 3,000 pieces of illicit drugs. 

He added that the arrests were made in Ringim, Kazaure, and Dutse local government areas.

According to him, the suspects were identified as Jibrin Yahya, Garba Aliyu, Abubakar, and Musbahu Sabo, among others. 

The statement explained that all were apprehended in possession of stolen livestock, motorcycles, and substances such as Exol, D5, and Indian hemp.

According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dahiru Muhammad, commended the operatives for their professionalism and dedication to duty. 

He also lauded members of the public for their cooperation and timely intelligence, which aided the successful operations.
