The Commissioner of Police, Edo State Command, CP Monday Agbonika, has assured the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) that the killers of its officials will be brought to justice.

Agbonika gave the assurance during an on-the-spot assessment visit to the scene where the NSCDC officers were killed during the attack.

Describing the attack as a dastardly act that will not go unpunished, Agbonika reaffirmed the command’s commitment to working in synergy with other security agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice.

He also assured that the command is intensifying its operational efforts to ensure the safe rescue of the abducted expatriate.

He added that they are strengthening security deployments in the area to prevent a recurrence.

He called for calm and cooperation from residents, urging them to provide timely and credible information to aid ongoing operations.

He concluded by stating that the command will not relent until the criminal elements threatening the peace of the state are identified and made to face justice.
