Bauchi State Police Commissioner, Habu Ahmadu Sani has warned political party supporters not to disrupt the sitting of the governorship election petition tribunal which resumes today for the adoption of final written addresses.

Sani gave the warning while reacting to accusations and counter accusations by the leadership of political parties in the state of plans to disrupt the tribunal’s sitting.

“It is good that there are accusations and counter accusations, this will enable the police to effectively perform its constitutional duties of providing security to all irrespective of status, political affiliation and or position.

“We will deploy our men to all strategic locations within the metropolis; we will give adequate cover to all the tribunal officials particularly the judges to and from the court so that they will be able to discharge their duties without any fear or intimidation,” the police commissioner said.
