The chairman of the Rotary Foundation and former Rotary International President, Holger Knaack, and his spouse, Susanne, will visit Nigeria from November 1–7, 2025 to strengthen Rotary’s efforts in polio eradication, preventing disease and protecting mothers and children.

A statement yesterday by Rotary’s Public Image Coordinator for Zone 22, Region 27, Ibim Semenitari, said Knaack will meet with government officials, Rotary leaders, and health partners, including the Ministry of Health and the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA).

The statement said the Rotary would also join a polio immunization exercise.

He will also visit Rotary’s programme of scale, ‘Together for Healthy Families in Nigeria’, which supports maternal and child health across communities as well as sites in the FCT and Akwa Ibom State where the Rotary Healthy Communities Challenge is being implemented.

Rotary International President-Elect Yinka Babalola said the visit reaffirms Rotary’s mission “to not only end polio but build lasting systems that keep families healthy.”
