The candidate vying for Gusau/ Tsafe Federal Constituency seat on the platform All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Zamfara State, Dr Abdullahi Maiwada, has trained and empowered 250 youths and women in entrepreneurial development and skills acquisition in different trades.

Dr Maiwada said his mission and vision was to have a self-reliant and empowered society where poverty was reduced to the barest minimum through skilled based employed youths and women in  the state.

He said this would reduce insecurity and other forms of crimes in the society.

According to him the only alternative to current security challenges in the state is creating Jobs to engage youths.

He urged the beneficiaries to make best used of items given to them and the training acquired in various trades such as tailoring,  hair dressing, among others.

Speaking at the event the party’s governorship candidate, Dr Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, tasked youths in the state to engage in legitimate trades and avoid relying on government.
