The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the last general elections, Dr. Ibrahim Ahmed Mani, has urged Nigerian students to be the change agents in their immediate environment.
He said “youths should not always clamour for change but rather be the change they want to see.”
Mani gave the advice in Zaria at a public lecture organized by the National Association of Niger State Students (NANISS), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) chapter with the theme, “Youths as Change Agents in Emerging Nigeria”.
He drew the students attention to the “reality of the contemporary Nigerian situation where jobs have become a scarce commodity,” urging them to look inward and realize their potentials.
Mani also enjoined the students to “work hard in order to succeed and avoid the fast and shortcut means of making money.”
