The Kwara State government and the management of Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin have debunked a rumour of hike in the tuition fee of the institution.
The institution was said to have introduced a new tuition fee of N75,000 as against N58,000 charged the students last session.
The position of the authorities was made known when the state commissioner for Information and Communications, Babatunde Ajeigbe, alongside the Registrar of the polytechnic, Moses Salami briefed newsmen on the matter yesterday in Ilorin.
Ajeigbe said it was just a rumour spread by social media and about which some people were making mischief.
He said that there was no increase of fee for the returning students who were now either HND 2 or ND 2 students.
