Poly Ibadan fires lecturer for sexual misconduct
A student spotlighted his sexual relationship with her on a radio show.
A lecturer has been fired from the Polytechnic of Ibadan for his involvement in a sexual scandal.
Ajadi Omotosho, a lecturer in the department of urban and regional planning, was outed when a female student spotlighted his sexual relationship with her on a radio show.
The school’s governing council decided on terminating his appointment after an investigation, said Adewole Soladoye, the school’s public relations officer
“Our hallmark at the institution is deligence due process in whatever we do because these students are going out to be leaders. We have to be fair to the students and even the community, therefore we have to be very careful in whatever we do.
“We know the state has zero tolerance for corruption ditto the institution. That is the reason the management studied the allegation diligently and passed the punishment on the culprit,” Soladoye said.
