The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, in Nasarawa State, Professor Shettima Abdulkadir Saidu, has said that the institution is mapping out plans to train Nigerians on railway technology.
Professor Saidu who disclosed this to newsmen yesterday in Akwanga Local Government Area of the state after a 4-day retreat organised for management of the institution to appraise the standard of the institution among the comity of polytechnics, said the institution was also mapping out plans to run courses such as Agricultural Technology and Mechtronics, and to boost the learning process of the institution through ICT.
He explained that the ICT mode of learning would be blended with the conventional learning system to aid research and equip the institution’s library with hard-to-reach materials.
