The police in Osun State have arrested a popular businessman in the state, Yekini Ayinde, aka Abija, for allegedly killing a rice dealer.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Fimihan Adeoye, while parading the suspect, said he was supplied 500 bags of rice by the deceased, Sanusi Isiaka and that when Isiaka demanded for the money, Abija lured him to a bush and killed him.

Adeoye said Abija had been on the run since the incident in 2017 but that his accomplices – Dauda Amusa and Kabiru Dudupariola – were arrested by police detectives last year.

The duo of Amusa and Dudupariola said Abija masterminded the killing of the rice dealer to evade payment for the goods and that Abija paid them to join him to kill his business partner.
